Construction giant, Julius Berger Nigeria Plc has commenced the construction of a state-of-the-art health centre to be sited in Ijebu-Itele and named after the paramount ruler and Awujsle of Ijebu land, Oba Sikiru Adetona.
Eighteen-Eleven Media scooped that Oba SK Adetona Health Centre is a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project of the renowned construction company which was facilitated by Oba Adetona.
Confirming the project, Olatunde Ayinde Oladunjoye, the Ogun State Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) wrote, “This modern primary health centre will be constructed at Ijebu Itele and completed within the next six months.
“It is a CSR project of Julius Berger Plc facilitated by Oba Dr Sikiru Kayode Adetona, the Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebu Land.
“I was on site this morning as the bush clearing started. I have promised to personally give compensation to the owners of the Banana trees that had to give way. Though they (owners of the banana trees) farmed for decades on the community land donated for the maternity centre, however, I still feel I should compensate them”.
