A presidential aspirant on the platform of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Prince Adewole Adebayo has described the Abuja-Kaduna train attack as shocking.

the tragic incident that left many dead and others severely injured.

Prince Adebayo, via his verified Twitter handle, said he had frequented the route in the past month, noting that the attack is “painful” and “revolting” to his soul.

According to him, “In the last one month, I have travelled on the Abuja-Kaduna rail repeatedly morning and night in the company of my friends and associates.

“The tragic bombing of that railway and train with attendant loss of lives, limbs and kidnappings is indeed painful, tragic, I mourn,’ he continued.

Suspected bandits and/or terrorists detonated bombs on the rail track of an Abuja-Kaduna train, successfully demobilizing it.

Credible sources on Monday night, confirmed the attack, saying it took place between Katari and Rijana.

According to one of the passengers who confirmed the incident over the phone, the attackers surrounded the train and began shooting sporadically. “All the passengers are currently lying on the floor of the train.

The bandits are shooting sporadically. We are in danger,” said one of the panic-stricken passengers. There were at least 970 passengers on board the train.

On Tuesday, another train was attacked on the same route leading to the loss of lives. An unspecified number of persons was also reportedly kidnapped
