THE Lagos State government has announced traffic diversion at Odo Iya Alaro Bridge from Monday 22nd July 2024, to carry out emergency repairs.

The Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, who made this known in a statement, said the repairs will be carried out in two phases for 90 days.

He said the first phase of the repairs will cover the Ojota bound lane while the second phase will cover the Yaba-Ojuelegba-Maryland bound lane.

According to him, alternative routes have been mapped out for each phase of the repairs.

The commissioner said motorists coming from Ikeja, Oregun and Kudirat Abiola Way, are advised to use the Opebi Link Bridge to connect Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way inwards Sheraton through Maryland, to access Ikorodu Road and navigate their ways.

Motorists coming from Jibowu are advised to make use of the Ikorodu Road Service lane by Mobil Fuel Station-Bertola Engineering Equipment Company, to access the Gbagada-Ogudu axis to continue their journeys.

He appealed to motorists to cooperate with the interventions put in place during the repairs.
