A Lagos-based lawyer, Ademola Adefolaju has described a story published by Gistlover Online against Mr. Stephen Aladeyekun (popularly known as Doshlowkee) as malicious, aimed at tarnishing the hard-earned reputation of the latter.

Barrister Asefolaju, while stating that Doshlowkee will not involve himself in any act that is prohibited by law, added that he is a law-abiding citizen.

He described the story by Gistlover Online as misguided information paraded on the pages of social media to bring down the reputation of his client.

Barrister Adefolaju alleges that Gislover Online media maliciously placed his client in concomitant with an alleged one-night stand with Miss ne Shubomi, which he said never happened.

According to him, Stephen Aladeyekun is a renowned businessman with registered businesses, incorporated in compliance with the provisions of the Companies and Allied Matters Act, as he owns and operates Doshlowkee Entertainment Limited whose business is to promote and invest in artists all over the world.

He said the defamatory and libellous publication of Gistlover Online is aimed at disparaging and defaming his client.

“Our client is a law-abiding citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and will not involve himself in any act that is prohibited by law. He has never been involved in any illegal or unlawful activity of any form aimed at illegally enriching himself, nor was he involved in any form of internet fraud, particularly the act popularly known and referred to as Yahoo Yahoo in local parlance.

“We vehemently debunk the misguided information paraded on the pages of social media by your organisation, illegally, wrongfully and maliciously placing our client in concomitant with an alleged one-night stand with Miss Shubomi, which never happened.

“We also state categorically that contrary to the content of the said publication that our client was deported from Cyprus, there was nothing of such, as the same never happened. Our client was never deported from Cyprus.

“We thus call on the general public to ignore this wrongful and misguided information peddled by these mischievous persons under the guise of Gistlover in a bid to disparage our client.

“Our client is not oblivious of his rights under the law and we have his attendant instruction to prosecute his legal rights against any individual or organisations aiming to discredit him via fake news and other unorthodox means.”

Barrister Adefolaju maintains that “We hope that you and other persons aiming to discredit our client will desist from acts before you are caught by the strong web of the law.”
