Makinde Restates Commitment To Continental Ticket As  3SC Players Pay Congratulatory Visit

GOVERNOR Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has restated his commitment to the success of the Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan.

The governor gave the assurance while receiving the management, players and supporters of the club who paid him a congratulatory visit on his resounding victory in last Saturday’s gubernatorial election held in the state. 

An elated Governor Makinde said his desire for the club to return to the continent remains his major goal, promising to ensure the realisation of the dream.  

The 3SC contingent was led to the Ikolaba residence of the governor by the Executive Chairman, Honourable Babatunde Olaniyan Akoro,  in company with General Manager, Dimeji Lawal, the Director of Administration and Supply, Rahman Olapade and the club’s Chief tactician, Gbenga Ogunbote.

Shooting Stars’ captain, Omololu Waheed, led his teammates on the visit.

Also on the visit were members of the Shooting Stars Supporters Club led by the duo of Femi Oyeniyi, the Chairman, Oyo State General Supporters Club and Femi Ajala, Chairman, 3SC Supporters Club as well as other executive members.

Governor Makinde was re-elected for another four-year term during last weekend’s election. The fresh mandate is expected to commence on 29th May 2023.
