Muslim-Muslim Ticket: Reject APC With Your Votes, Adegboruwa Tells Nigerians

A Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) Ebun Olu-Adegboruwa has asked Nigerians to reject the All Progressives Congress (APC) with their votes following the party’s decision to field a former Borno State governor, Kashim Shettima as the vice-presidential candidate in next year’s year presidential election.

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC standard-bearer Sunday announced Senator Shettima, a Muslim as his running mate ending speculation which had trailed his possible choice for the position.

However, in a swift response to the choice, Adegboruwa described it as “terrible”. In a post on his social media platform titled: Muslim-Muslim Ticket Insensitive Choice, asked Nigerians “whether Muslims, Christians, Traditionalists, etc should reject APC with their votes come 2023.

“A Muslim-Muslim ticket in present-day Nigeria is fuel for Boko Haram, an incentive for ISWAP and a call for more terrorists.

“Unless of course, those parading the ticket are themselves complicit.

“There is no better way to insult our sensibilities.

“I pray it is not true”, he wrote.
