The Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice (AGF), Abubakar Malami (SAN), has denied reports that he donated exotic vehicles of assorted brands to his loyalists in All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi State, insisting it was his friends and associates that extended the gesture to the part men.
In a statement, an aide to the Minister, Umar Gwandu said the Minister’s friends also supported his governorship ambition with One Hundred and Thirty-Five Million (N135, 000,000,00) only.
There have been reports and viral photos that the AGF allegedly donated Sports Utility Vehicles (SUV) of assorted brands to APC politicians in Kebbi but Gwandu said the friends of his principal gifted the vehicles to “long-term workers in the Khadimiyya Foundation”.
Malami was appointed Minister in November 2015 by President Muhammadu Buhari and he recently declared interest in the governorship seat of Kebbi State. He belongs to Governor Atiku Bagudu’s faction of APC in the state.
