THE National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has uncovered and sealed the Purity Agro Chemical Centre in Gboko, Benue State, containing 724 cartons of expired Patriarc agrochemicals.
This followed an extensive investigation which began in Bauchi State and extended to Kano State.
The warehouse was found to contain 724 cartons of Patriarc agrochemicals being illegally revalidated with new shelf lives for distribution, along with various unregistered products such as Kris herbicide, E-Tong Reapon 800WG, Onion Texas, Tomato Chiloli, and Hot Pepper.
NAFDAC operatives have seized the expired and unregistered agrochemicals, and the facility has been secured. The owner of the company is currently at large, but efforts are ongoing to ensure his arrest.
