THE President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Ibrahim Musa Gusau has confirmed the termination of the appointment of the Anerica-born coach of the Super Falcons Mr Randy Waldrum.
Appearing before the House of Reps Committee on Sports Matters, Mallam Gusau stated emphatically that the American tactician will not have his contract renewed.
According to the football executive, all outstanding bonuses of the American have been cleared and his contract expired last month.
This simply means that coach Waldrum will not be in charge of the Falcons during the 2024 Olympics qualifiers next month
Eighteen-Eleven Media reports that Mr Waldrum and the NFF top brass were at each other’s throats weeks leading up to the just concluded FIFA Women’s World Cup held in Australia and New Zealand. Waldrum pointedly accused NFF officials of denying him the needed support to improve the fortune of the team ahead of the competition. He also accused them of blackmailing and mismanagement of funds.
In what looked like a reply, NFF through its Director of Communications Ademola Olajire, described Waldrum as ‘Blabbermouth’ who’s Super Falcons ‘worst coach’ in history.
Nigerians are however not very happy with the news, and are since reacting and giving different opinions.
