Ogun: 27-Yr-Old Man Murdered In Abeokuta Estate By Unknown Persons

A 27-year-old man, Toriola Tobi, has been brutally murdered inside a secluded street in Isokan Estate in Ogun State.

The development was confirmed by the Ogun State Police Command in a statement it issued late on Monday.

According to the statement, Tobi was gruesomely murdered on Monday evening at about 7 pm, according to eyewitnesses, while walking alone along a secluded street in Isokan Estate, behind the Premier Grammar School area. Abeokuta 

The identity and details of the hoodlums who attacked and killed Tobi are not yet known, the police said.

The statement said the victim was injured after a scuffle with the unidentified individuals who then escaped from the scene. 

His remains have been deposited at the morgue for autopsy. 

The statement said an investigation has commenced into the killing, with the Command’s Commissioner, CP Abiodun Mustapha Alamutu, directing that every intelligence be deployed to ensure the fleeing suspects are apprehended.

The statement added: “The Ogun State Police Command through community policing and covert operations assures the public that the culprit will answer for this heinous crime and security of lives and properties,

“The Commissioner of Police hereby calls for the cooperation of the members of the public to volunteer credible information that will crack this instant case against mutating the syndicate.”
