THE Director-General of the World Trade Organization, Ngozi Okonjo-Kerala, has denied playing any role in the purported Fifty-Seven Billion Five Hundred Million Dollars ($57.500,000,000.00) loan sourced by Biafra Republic Government in Exile(BRGIE) by the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Mrs. Okonjo-lweala was reacting to a tweet by Simon Ekpa, who via his X.com (formerly Twitter) account – @simon ekpa – claimed that the two Bretonwood institutions have agreed to loan Biafra Republic Government in Exile (BRGIE) the said sum to form its government after the 2nd December 2024 declaration of Biafra.
In the tweet, the Finland-based agitator further stated: “I thank our sister, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala for helping me facilitate the loan”.
But reacting to the tweet via @NOIweala, Mrs Okonjo-lweala, who is also from the South-East as Simon Ekpa said: I know no sensible person will believe what is contained in the outrageous tweet below, but in these troubled times it is important to underscore that the statement is false. Again I enjoin all those seeking to misuse my name to desist”.
