CONTROVERSIAL Lagos-based member of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Ushie Rita Uguamaye (popularly known as Raye) has spoken out against the recent MTN data price hike, calling on users to email their complaints to the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC).
In a video posted online, Raye expressed her frustration with the price increase, revealing that she had cancelled her MTN Wi-Fi subscription as a result.
“I’m going to lend my voice to empower us as a youth. Aside from the rant, I’ve been bombarding the right department that is handling this with a lot of emails,” Raye stated.
Raye’s advocacy has sparked a mix of support and criticism, with some praising her courage and others questioning her motives.
Responding to the backlash, Raye emphasized her commitment to using her platform for good.
“I used to be a normal girl who was just doing content. I can’t turn my back on what I actually love. If you genuinely care for me, you will not bash me and start pushing me to my doom,” Raye said.
