LELSILE Tebogo of Botswana has captured the gold in the men’s 200 metres at the ongoing Olympic Games in Paris, France.
He clocked 19.46 seconds ahead of Kenny Bednarek of the United States who clocked 19.62 seconds.
Noah Lyles of the United States finished third in 19.70 seconds.Letsilie Tebogo’s feat becomes the first time in history an African man has won the title. He shocked pre-race favourite Noah Lyles who ended the race in third. His mother passed away earlier this year and he ran in the Olympics with her date of birth on his shoes.
