Two sons of Reverend Daniel Umaru of Ekklesiyar Yan’uwa Njairi Nigeria (EYN), also known as the Church of the Brethren, Kefrey Daniel (19) and Fanye Daniel have been laid to rest in Adamawa State.
It will be recalled that gunmen invaded the cleric’s home in the Mubi Local Government Area of the state, killed the two boys, shot the pastor and abducted his 13-year-old daughter, Ijagla.
The pastor is said to be recuperating at the hospital.
Humwashi Wonosikou, press secretary to Ahmadu Fintiri, the Adamawa State governor, confirmed the incident in a statement on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the victims were buried yesterday Friday, 8th July 2022 at EYN Headquarters in Kwarhi Maararba, Hong Local Government Area of the state.
A video shared by a staff of Adamawa State University Mubi, Hyello John, showed the victims’ mother, Rev. (Mrs) Daniel Umoro, saying she has forgiven the killers of her sons.
“I have forgiven those behind these killings and abduction”. Also, I have accepted the will of God.” she said.
