PDP Declares Asue Ighodalo Winner Of Edo Guber Primary


THE People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has declared Asue Ighodalo as the winner of the governorship primary election conducted today in Benin, Edo State capital.

Dauda Lawal, governor of Zamfara State and returning officer of the election, declared Asue Ighodalo, as winner of the poll.

Lawal said Ighodalo secured 577 votes to defeat other aspirants in the race.

Earlier, Philip Shaibu, the deputy governor of Edo State, won in the parallel governorship primary organised by another faction of the party.
