PRESIDENT Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Monday, met with former President Olusegun Obasanjo in Owerri, Imo State capital during the second-term inauguration of the state governor, Hope Uzodimma.
Tinubu and Obasanjo were invited to grace the inauguration which was held at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri.
It was the first public meeting of the two leaders after they met in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital in 2022 prior to the 2023 general elections.
Despite the meeting, Obasanjo did not support Tinubu’s ambition, as he openly supported the Labour Party’s candidate, Mr Peter Obi.
Despite their differences, the two could be seen shaking hands at the inauguration.
