SPARTA Prague striker, Victor Olatunji has expressed readiness if an opportunity arises for him to play for the Super Eagles of Nigeria, also adding that it will be a dream come true for him.
Olatunji, who had a decent run of form last season and the current one believes he is good enough to deservedly earn a call-up, expressed readiness to play for the Super Eagles should the new coach, Eric Chelle hand him a call-up.
Olatunji has been fantastic for Sparta Prague this season, scoring four goals and contributing two assists in 14 UEFA Champions League games including qualifiers.
His exposure to clubs like Manchester City, Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan, and Boniface’s Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League games has further boosted his confidence as a footballer according to the striker.
The 25-year-old Olatunji, who has so far scored six goals in 19 Czech Chance Liga, granted an interview from his base in the Czech Republic.
“I know that I have got what it takes to showcase my talent in the Super Eagles jersey, although I am not forcing myself on the team,” he said from the Czech Republic.
“I only think I am in good shape to inspire the Super Eagles to greater heights. I believe the coach has a plan and if opportuned to make his squad, I will make Nigerians proud.
“I think I have been drilled by Czech league champions, Sparta Prague. Having helped my team to the league and cup title, I can boldly say I am good enough for the Super Eagles.
“I also think my UEFA Champions League exposure will go a long way in giving my fans what they love to see.
“It is obvious that the Super Eagles is blessed with lots of talented forwards, but I think my addition will further fire the team to glory.”
