SUPER Eagles defender Ola Aina has unequivocally articulated how much he relishes representing Nigeria as a player for the senior national team.
The Nottingham Forest superstar, who is unarguably one of the best full-backs in the World, expressed his views in an interview with NBC Sports’ By Way of Africa series.
Aina is one of the Nigerian-born English boys who did not hesitate about playing for their fatherland when the opportunity came.
According to #MrLulu, “It means a lot. It’s a big honour to play for the Super Eagles. Every time I put the jersey or t-shirt on, it’s a great feeling — one that can’t really be matched.
“It’s really nice. I love playing for Nigeria, and hopefully, I can keep on playing for Nigeria for many more years. It’s actually going to Nigeria and playing there in front of the fans. It’s fun and I really enjoy it.”
He also noted that he enjoys playing in front of Nigerian fans regardless of the pressure that comes with it.
Aina who is interesting a lot of clubs with his form this season said he is enjoying his game and has his parents to thank for their support.
“They’ve had to dedicate a lot of their time to [invest] in me, and I’m grateful for that. It’s sort of paid off for them, so they’re living happily ever after now.”
