The Qatar 2022 World Cup competition will take place from November 21 to December 18 and will include teams from 32 countries.

This will be the Super Eagles’ eighth World Cup appearance if they overcome Ghana’s Black Stars.
The first leg of the game on Friday, March 25, at the Baba Yara Stadium ended goaless. The second leg match is scheduled for Tuesday, March 29, at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja.

FIFA has upped the qualification incentive from €10 million to €12.2 million in order to assist teams in properly preparing for the event. In 2018, FIFA awarded the Nigerian squad €10 million as they qualified for the World Cup held in Russia.
Speaking at a press conference in Abuja, Super Eagles Coach, Augustine Eguavoen, who will be playing Ghana for the third time in his coaching career, characterized the Black Stars as “known enemies” who are not easy to beat, especially at home.
