KEBBI State governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu has approved the reduction of official work hours for civil servants in the state in the spirit of the Ramadan Fasting.

This decision is contained in a statement from the state Ministry of Establishment, Pensions and Training, dated 12th, March 2024 and made available to newsmen Tuesday by the Commissioner in the ministry, Auwal Manu Dogondaji.

According to the statement, the official time frame has been reduced by two hours daily. Consequently, the new working hours from Monday to Thursday are 8:00 am to 2:00 pm while on Friday are from 8:00 am to 12:00 noon.

The statement says normal working hours will be reverted to at the end of the Ramadan period.

The Commissioner was quoted as saying that the magnanimity of the governor is in the spirit of the Blessed Month of Ramadan and gives civil servants the opportunity to discharge their normal religious activities with ease.
