The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has launched “Operation Show Your Permanent Voter’s Card, an initiative aimed at ensuring that its members across the country obtain the card that will enable them to exercise their voting right in next year’s general elections.
A memo from the Intercontinental Youth Pastor addressed to pastors in charge of provinces and signed by Pastor Belemina Obunge said it has received a directive from Mission Authority to ensure a high level of sensitization of all parishes on the need for ” our members to get their Permanent Voters’ Cards in the ongoing Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) exercise.”

The memo thereafter directed that the sensitization be carried out according to the following: “Sunday, June 26, 2022: Operation Show Your PVC in all parishes.
“Based on the above, Provincial headquarters and Mega parishes are encouraged to use their parishes as centres for one or two days to facilitate their members’ and interested neighbours’ registration considering the closeness of the deadline, June 30th, 2022 of the Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) exercise.
” Provinces will be required to send summarised reports of parishes’ compliance with the above directive to the office of the undersigned, stating the number of adult members versus the number of PVCs counted.
“The report is expected on or before Tuesday 27 June 2022 for onward compilation to the Mission Authority. “
