COACH of Remo Stars Football Club, Daniel Ogunmodede has signed a contract extension that will keep him in the Gateway State till 2027.
The 44-year-old coach Ogunmodede led Remo Stars to finish second during the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, five points adrift of the League winners, Rangers International Football Club of Enugu.
During the just concluded season, the Sky Blue Stars, as Remo Stars are admiringly called, scored 53 goals, conceded 39, drew 13 out of 38 games, won 20, and lost 5.
After accepting the new and improved deal, coach Daniel Ogunmodede, who is in love with the 5-3-2 format, said; “This is my club and my project.”
Ogunmodede holds a UEFA A coaching licence and has an average of 3.43 years in a club.
Remo Stars has a date to keep with AS FAR FC of Morocco in the first round of the 2024-25 CAF Champions League preliminary this weekend at their 5,000-seater Stadium in Ikenne, Ogun State.
Their first experience on the continent was terminated by a Moroccan club side.
