OPERATIVES of the Lagos Rapid Response Squad (RRS) yesterday at about 1200hrs prevented a middle-aged man from committing suicide.
The RRS men, who were on bikes, were on routine patrol on the Third Mainland Bridge when the incident occurred. 
The man, Yemi, aged 59, of Ilasa, Lagos, stated that he was overwhelmed by challenges.
Commander RRS, CSP Shola Jejeloye, has counselled the suspect and has directed he be kept in protective custody pending the arrival of his family members.
