THE Senate earlier today removed Ali Ndume as Senate Chief Whip and replaced him with Mohammed Tahir Monguno
The Senate President, Senator Akpabio, read a letter from the national leadership of the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC). The letter requested Ndume to step down from his APC membership and consider joining a different party of his preference.
The letter bore the signatures of Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the national chairman of the party, and Barrister Ajibola Bashiru, the Secretary of the party.

The Borno South senator has been criticizing the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, alleging that the president has been hijacked.
