THE Super Eagles of Nigeria are still the 4th best national male football team on the continent of Africa and 44th in the World based on the latest FIFA ranking made public on Thursday.
Nigeria and the nine other countries in the top ten position in Africa maintained their spot in December, with no upward or downward movement.
The Moroccan national football team retained its 14th position in the December 2024 FIFA World Rankings, published today. This ranking marks the end of the year for the global standings released by FIFA.
Morocco finished the year with 1688.18 points, dropping one spot compared to 2023 when the team was ranked 13th with 1661.69 points. In FIFA’s November ranking, the Atlas Lions dropped one position.
Egypt’s national team finished 2024 in the 33rd spot of the most recent FIFA global football rankings, as revealed on Thursday.
Egypt had reached the global top 10 after a triumphant streak of three consecutive Africa Cup of Nations titles in 2006, 2008, and 2010.
The Black Stars of Ghana are nowhere near the top ten bracket in Africa after their disjointed, disgusting and disgraceful outing during the race to Morocco for the African Nations Cup finals.
Argentina, France, and Spain held the top three positions, with England and Brazil completing the top five.
