The Super Eagles of Nigeria will file out against Portugal in a friendly on the 17th of November.
It was gathered that the friendly game will be played at the 50,000-capacity Estádio José Alvalade in Lisbon, the Portuguese capital.
The Nigeria Football Federation and Federação Portuguesa de Futebol have signed a formal agreement for the grade A friendly this week.
Cristiano Ronaldo and company are using the game to shape up for the 2022 World Cup finals.
Portugal has Ghana to contend with at the group stage of the World Cup to be hosted by Qatar.
The match with Portugal will be the first clash at the senior men’s level for both countries, though last summer, the Super Falcons and the Senior Women Team of Portugal fought out a thrilling 3-3 draw in the US Women’s National Team Summer Series in Houston, Texas, USA.
It can also be recalled that in 1989, Portugal’s U20 boys defeated Nigeria’s U20 team 2-0 in the final of the FIFA World Youth Championship (now FIFA U20 World Cup finals) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
