The Nigerian Exchange At The Close Of Trading Friday 25th

The Nigerian Exchange Limited All Share Index (NGX ASI) and the Market Capitalization increased by 0.01%, while the Year-to-Date return stood at 9.94%. The All Share Index closed at 46,964.23 against the previous close of 46,961.62 while Market Capitalization closed at ₦25.311 trillion against the previous close of ₦25.310 trillion. Volume traded decreased by 17.52% from 214.699 million to 177.091 million, while the total value of stock traded increased by 59.21% from ₦2.626 billion to ₦4.180 billion in 3,873 deals.                                       

The Financial Services sector led the activity chart with 135.779 million shares exchanged for ₦1.429 billion. Consumer Goods came next with 15.79 million shares traded for ₦2.087 billion, Conglomerates, ICT, Oil And Gas sectors followed in that order on the activity chart.                                       

FIDELITYBK, ZENITH BANK, GTCO, UBA AND HONYFLOUR were the most active stocks by volume. PZ, JAPAULGOLD, FTNCOCOA, AFRIPRUD AND CHIPLC emerged as the highest price gainers on the chart, while NNFM, FCMB, LIVESTOCK, NEIMETH AND UPDC topped the losers’ chart.
