DAVID Adeleke (Davido’s) Logistics Manager, Israel Afeare (popularly known as Israel DMW) apparently stirred the hornet net Saturday when he shared news of the end of his marriage to his wife, Sheila, in an Instagram post.
In his detailed account, Israel DMW revealed that Sheila left their home on 8 August 2023, despite his substantial support since their marriage.
Israel also detailed acts of generosity, such as providing financial support, upgrading her phone, and indulging in shopping sprees for her.
Despite these efforts, he described a shift in Sheila’s behaviour after their wedding, where she sought to impose standards on him, believing she had achieved status as a prominent figure on Instagram.
Additionally, Israel DMW pointed out that marrying someone from a Christian background and being a virgin did not ensure peace in his case.
He highlighted that his wife accused him of being a slave to his boss, Davido.
He said, “Marrying a lady because you met her during evangelism as a virgin, a pastor’s daughter, a member of the same Winners Chapel church, might not guarantee anything peace at all. Don’t be too eager or quick to trust people. People can change at any time.
“People can be very ungrateful and deceptive. I met Sheila on 19 February 2022. We became friends, which later became intimate.
“She told me she would only lose her virginity to the man that would marry her since her Ugep, Cross River, mother, who’s now 41, had earlier married two different men, with two kids, before marrying her father and that she was overdue at 21 for marriage.
“We fully agreed with her terms and conditions. I immediately upgraded her unkept situation by giving her 300k and replacing her tattered phone of less than 60k with a new iPhone 12 Pro Max of 860k in less than two weeks.
“I later also replaced the 12 Pro Max with a brand 14 Pro Max of 1.2m that she uses to slay. I did a lot of shopping for her.
“Bought her clothes and bags, including expensive human hairs she’s using without sleeping with her then. I later proposed, and she fully accepted. We later did a legal introduction to traditional and white weddings in Benin City.
“Sheila immediately changed by showing her authentic self after our wedding and wanting to set standards for me. She now felt she was blown as Juju’s wife, fully verified on Instagram, with more followers from her earlier struggling 3k followers when I met her.
“A fully sapa girl I met with just 2,700 in her account. I have never raised my hands on her any day. I don’t beat women at all. I respect them so much. The least money for her upkeep was 100k. She now wakes up to tell me that I derive dignity in begging my oga, that I am fully a slave, and that I am disgracing her on social media.
“I had earlier taken her to show same oga for the first time before we wedded when we were in Abuja Transcorp Hilton, and oga asked her straight forward if she was ready for marriage, and she fully answered by saying yes and oga immediately gave her 500k for airtime. Oga was fully present in Benin for my wedding, after cancelling a 140m show appearance. Oga,”
However, before the ink with which Israel DMW pen the allegations could dry up, Sheila responded with the speed of light.
Also, writing on Instagram, she accused her estranged husband of using their wedding ceremony that happened a year ago as a means to gather money for himself.
The former beauty queen, in a lengthy post on Instagram on Saturday, said she never wanted an elaborate wedding and that most of the events prior to their wedding were without her consent.
Her words: “I was going to keep my reserve on this but as it is I see no reason to. Did I see signs before the wedding? Yes, I did, one of the reasons was because of the rush on the wedding even after I said we should give it time! He came up with a lot of excuses and threats.
“Most of the things he did regarding the wedding were without my consent! Down to the invitation card! I didn’t even get to see what the design looked like before it was printed. I only get to find out about stuff after it’s been paid for, we had a fight that I told him that it seems it’s his event planner he wants to Marry because they’re not carrying me along.
“Proceeding to the wedding there was a huge turnout! It was elaborate was that what I even wanted? No! But Oga said he’s a public figure, people eye dey so he has to do it big! (The white wedding). The wedding happened and the wedding day passed now na see us see marriage. He started showing up as his real self in full. He would be travelling and ask me not to put on gen, not to go anywhere, don’t do this, don’t do that.
“He literally used the wedding to gather money for himself! He wanted massive support and he got it what I expected from him as a wife was, Baby see what we got o, wetin we go use am do? Or see wetin I wan use am do, I don’t think that’s supposed to be anything, so even when he failed to do any of those I overlooked.
“We started having issues in November!!! I will tell him I’m going to the salon when I get there he will text me to not come back, the first time this happened I thought it was a joke yet I hurriedly went back home because I was already living in fear.
“I got home and the gateman refused to open the gate for me, say oga say make he no open gate, I called him on the phone and he said I should go back to where I am coming from.
“I was outside the gate frustrated and ashamed! I called his dad and reported him, his father called me back to tell me that Israel was insulting him, the father complained back to me, I asked my cab to start driving me around while I was calling him to ask the gateman to open the gate!
“After plenty calls from his dad and me, he finally instructed the gateman to open the gate, I took the walk of shame back into the house, when he got back home that day I was so hurt I could not say anything till the next day I told him calmly that no matter issue wey we get make outsider no know, that even if I did something wrong come back inside and correct me, I explained how hurt and how embarrassing it was. He didn’t say anything but apologized after some days
“No one aside from the people on the street and neighbours knew about this. I didn’t know it was going to happen again! And again! And again! And again! Both the church and families got involved to resolve issues regularly everyone (family) kept saying oh you shouldn’t be quiet on things like this, always call us, always talk to us.”
Dismissing allegations of exploiting her estranged husband for publicity, she asserted that Adams Oshiomhole, the former governor of Edo State and currently a senator representing Edo North, is her father’s first cousin.
She wrote; “If anything happens to me or any member of my family @isrealdmw should be held responsible!!! Going to my mum’s shop to beat her up?? You wan kill Pikin kill Mama join?? This isn’t even something to be quiet about at this point, @nigerianpoliceforces.
“I was going to post this just yesterday! I held back because aside from involving the police I reached out to someone I believe could reach him and would act on it, I say make I no forward so I don’t get the ‘Oh you shouldn’t have brought it online” yadayadayda!! This man carried boys to harass my mum at her shop!!!
“Both the phone and the generator he collected from my mum yesterday were immediately replaced by my dad. Everything Israel ever did he was never asked or coerced! He just always thinks doing all these little things would cover up his demonic attitude.
“Saying this might be petty but Idc he didn’t get me my first iPhone 411) even my younger sister dey use iPhone when I meet you Israel and I was using an iPhone too (I know you suffer partial memory loss).
