TEAM Nigeria’s flag bearer and world record holder in the women’s 100m hurdles, Tobi Amusan, is through to the semi-final of the event in Paris.
Amusan cruised into the semi-final in a time of 12.49 seconds ahead of Alaysha Johnson of America who clocked 12.61 seconds.
The Ogun State-born sprinter’s timing is the second fastest after Jasmine Camacho-Quinn of Puerto Rico’s 12.42 seconds.
The semi-final comes up Thursday, while the final is scheduled for Saturday.
In the men’s 800m, Nigeria’s Edose Ibadin could not make it to the semi-final from Heat 2. He came 6th in a time of 1.46.56 seconds.
