PRESIDENT Donald Trump announced late Sunday night that Dan Bongino, a former United States Secret Service agent and prominent conservative media personality, will serve as the next deputy director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
The announcement, made via a post on Trump’s Truth Social platform, marks a significant appointment for the nation’s premier law enforcement agency.
In his statement, Trump praised Bongino, describing him as “a man of incredible love and passion for our Country.”
He emphasized that Bongino’s appointment, made by newly sworn-in FBI Director Kash Patel, is “great news for Law Enforcement and American Justice.”
