THIS little boy has been diagnosed with Intraocular melanoma (otherwise called cancer of the eye) at the age of two which affected both his eyes.
He had undergone surgery at the Federal Medical Center Katsina which led to the removal of both eyes.
Intraocular melanoma is the most common type of cancer that develops within the eyeball in adults, but it is still fairly rare. Melanomas that start in the skin are much more common than melanomas that start in the eye. Melanomas develop from pigment-making cells called melanocytes.
According to Nafisah Tukur (@Nafisahtu on Twitter who shared the story), he urgently needs money for chemotherapy and the parents are very poor and can not afford that.
The parents are, therefore, seeking financial assistance of any amount to help this little boy with his battle against this deadly disease.
