PASTOR Sam Adeyemi, the Founder and Senior Pastor of Daystar Christian Centre has shared insights into his family’s decision to relocate to the United States during a virtual interview on Seun Okinbaloye’s ‘Mic On’ podcast.
The conversation delved into topics such as Leadership Beyond Governance Politics and the Role of the Younger Generation in Nigeria.
The video, lasting one hour, thirty minutes, and forty-seven seconds, was streamed on the Mic On YouTube channel on Sunday.
Adeyemi discussed how various factors, including COVID-19, the EndSARS protests, and troubling dreams about Nigeria, influenced their relocation. He recounted how unsettling dreams experienced by both him and his wife played a significant role in their decision-making process. Despite initial plans to return to Nigeria, recurring dreams and a sense of unease led them to reconsider.
The couple’s decision was reinforced by concerns expressed by family members in Nigeria and a shared feeling of spiritual guidance. Adeyemi emphasized the importance of prayer and discernment in navigating their circumstances. Upon consulting with leaders from Daystar Christian Centre, they decided to extend their stay in the US.
According to the pastor, their time abroad allowed them to recognize the strengths of their organisation and invest in further development. Pastor Adeyemi highlighted the importance of building robust systems within the church to ensure its sustainability, even in their absence. Ultimately, their experience prompted a shift in focus towards a more global perspective while maintaining their commitment to Daystar Christian Centre.
