THE Executive Secretary of Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD), Ms Tolulope Odunaiya, yesterday (Monday 9 December 2024), said the organisation has fully paid the eight (8) months accrued arrears as a result of the 20% and 28% pension increment to all eligible pensioners under the Police Pension Department and Customs, Immigrations and Prisons Pension Departments.
She also said that the outstanding balance of accrued months of arrears due to eligible pensioners under the Parastatals Pension Department is currently being processed to be paid before the end of this month.
Ms Odunaiya spoke at the National Executive Committee meeting of the Nigeria Union of Pensioners held at the Labour House, Abuja.
She also notified them that the five (5) months balance that is due to eligible University Sector Pensioners under the Parastatals Pension Department is already being processed for payment, and the files of the pensioners under the Civil Service Pension Department who are yet to be paid their arrears are undergoing different stages of checks and approvals.
The PTAD boss further assured them that PTAD has finalized plans to begin the payment of the accrued pension arrears related to the NGN32,000.00 pension increment that was recently announced by the Federal Government.
The pensioners thanked and prayed for her, and wished her a successful tenure as the Executive Secretary of PTAD.
