THE Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Bayo Onanuga, has asked embattled former Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello, to submit himself to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The EFCC on Thursday formally declared Bello wanted over alleged multi-billion-naira fraud.
The former Kogi State governor, who escaped arrest on Wednesday, failed to appear in court on Thursday over the fraud case, even as his whereabouts remain unknown.
Reacting to the development in a post on his verified X handle, Onanuga advised Bello to come out of hiding and get a good lawyer to handle the case.
“Yahaya Bello, where will you run to? It’s better you submit yourself to the EFCC and get a good lawyer,” Onanuga tweeted on Thursday night.
The EFCC had called on Nigerians with information on Bello’s whereabouts to report immediately to the Commission or the nearest Police Station.
