25 CAC Choir Members Kidnapped In Ondo While Travelling For Burial Ceremony
A total of twenty-five (25) choir members of the Christ Apostolic Church, (CAC), Oke Igan, Akure, the Ondo State capital, have been reportedly kidnapped by gunmen believed to be kidnappers.
The choir members, including two members of a family, were said to be on their way to a burial programme of a parent of one of their members when they were suddenly halted within the Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State.
It was further scooped that the incident occurred at 3 p.m. on Friday while the victims were commuting to Ifon.
The vehicle conveying the kidnapped choir members was seen abandoned on the roadside.
The Owo-Ifon-Benin Road, which is notorious for kidnapping and armed robbery, is currently in deplorable condition.
