The National Working Committee (NWC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has granted absolute powers to the Abdullahi Adamu’s National Executive Committee (NEC) for the next three months.

The implications of this are that NEC decisions on policy matters in the party can not be challenged, until after party primaries, meaning that President Mohammadu Buhari, remains in full control albeit through the back door, at least for the next three months, when his presidential candidate must have emerged.

This is part of the decisions taken at the ongoing NEC meeting in Abuja. Eighteen-Eleven Media further gathered that the NEC has approved a 50% discount on nomination forms for everyone under 40yrs old. The first time in the history of the party.

The party has also dropped the ad-hoc delegate list compiled by Governor Buni-led Caretaker Committee.

President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, Senate President, and Speaker of House of Representatives, among other elected public office holders, party officials are in attendance at the meeting.

Details later.
