APC Pegs Presidential Form At N100M, Gov’norship, N50M

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has pegged its Expression of Interest Form for presidential aspirants at Thirty Million Naira (N30,000,000.00) only, while its Nomination Form will go for Seventy Million Naira (N70,000,000.00) only, making it a total of One Hundred Million Naira (N100, 000,000.00).

Those wishing to contest governorship elections in the 36 states of the federation on the platform of the party will also have to pay Fifty Million Naira (N50,000,000.00) only (I.e. Ten Million Naira for the Expression of Interest Form and Forty Million for the Nomination Form.

Their Senatorial counterparts will cough out a total of Twenty Million Naira (Three Million Naira for Expression of Interest and Seventeen Million for Nomination Forms).

For the House of Representatives, Ten Million Naira (One Million for Expression of Interest and Nine Million for Nomination Form).

Finally, those for state Houses of Assembly are to pay Five Hundred Thousand Naira for Expression of Interest and another One Million, Five Hundred Thousand for Nomination Form.

A release by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Alhaji Sulaiman Muhammad Arugungu says female aspirants and persons living with disabilities are to purchase Expression of Interest Form, while Nomination Forms are free for this category of persons.

Youths under the age of 35 years, are to purchase the Expression of Interest Form with a 40% discount for the Nomination Form.

Meanwhile, the party has scheduled a special convention to select its presidential candidate for 30th May to 1st June, 2022, while the governorship primaries are set to be held on Wednesday 18th May 2022.

For state Houses of Assembly, intra-party elections to select candidates are expected to be held on 20th May 2022, while for the House of Representatives, 22nd May has been selected.

For Senatorial seats, the election is to be held on Tuesday 24th May.

The APC has fixed between 12th to 14th of May for the screening of all aspirants including presidential aspirants. The party will also hold election appeals between 20th May to 26th May.
