CAFCC: The Better Team Won – Al Nasr Benghazi Coach Reacts To 5 – 0 Trashing By Rivers United
Coach of the Al Nasr Benghazi of Libya, Zoran Milinkovic, was full of admiration for Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Champion Rivers United as he admitted the Pride of Rivers deserved the 5-0 victory in their Confederation of African Football (CAF) Confederation Cup tie on Wednesday.
The Coach Stanley Eguma-tutored side, at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, defeated the Libyan side 5-0 in the first leg of the Confederation Cup playoff.
During a post-match conference, the coach said it like everything was against them in the game.
“Our performance today was very bad and Rivers United was the better team.
“Overturning this result in the second leg is very difficult but we have to play the game and do much better.
“The referee awarded two penalties but it looks like everything is against us today, nothing worked for us today”, he said.
Ebube Duru (2), Kazie Enyinnaya, Paul Acquah and Malachi Ohawume were the goal scorers in the resounding 5-0 victory.
