Contracts Documents In N22.9bn Sambo Dasuki Arms Deal Are Fake ― Witness

A prosecuting witness in the ongoing trial of Isabella Mimie Oshodin and Bob Oshodin Organisation Limited standing trial in the N22.9billion Sambo Dasuki’s arms deal, Edet Jackson, has told Justice Taiwo Taiwo of a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja that the alleged contract documents presented by the two defendants to back up claims of receiving about N22.9bn for consultancy are fake.

Jackson gave the testimony on Wednesday, 30th March 2020. The investigator, who is Prosecution Witness 7, (PW7), while being cross-examined by defence counsel, Osaho Odemwingie, told the court that in the course of investigating the contract documents presented by the two defendants, he sent requests for verification of the documents to the Office of the Special Adviser to President on Niger-Delta and Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, where a response was made that the office did not know about the said contract or any document to substantiate the existence of any contract between Bob Oshodin Organisation and the Office of the Special Adviser to President on Niger-Delta, Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme and the National Security Adviser.

The contract was allegedly awarded for consultancy services and the purchase of furniture from a company in Benin- City, Edo State.

Justice Taiwo, after listening to the testimony of PW7, adjourned the matter till 22nd and 23rd May 2022 for the continuation of the trial.

Isabella Mimie Oshodin and Bob Oshodin Organisation are facing trial on a 25- count charge bordering on money laundering.
