Nigerian singer David Adeleke (popularly known as Davido) is aiming for the Grammys as he teases a new album that features American billionaire rapper Kanye West and his choir group, The Samples.
The American rapper, who is legally known as Ye became a Christian around 2019 and has been releasing gospel songs with his Sunday choir group, The Samples.
Davido took to his Instagram page to reveal the good news to his ecstatic millions of fans.
He wrote, “This one is special to me. It’s different. The conception has been different. The mindset has been different. The making has been different. I know you love it when I make you dance, but now I want to make you feel. This one’s for everyone out there holding it up. I know what I’ve experienced (in) the past 10 years, and a lot of you have been through it all with me. But…have you really? For the first time, I want to bring you into the other part of my world. The part where every day is a battle but I have no option but to stand strong. I present to you, the first single off my next album”.
Davido had made history and broken records as the most streamed artiste in Nigeria.
According to Turnable Charts, a music chart publication in Nigeria, the ‘Assurance’ singer holds the record for the number one streaming chart in Nigeria.
With this achievement, Davido beats his rivals, Wizkid and Burna Boy to clinch the number one spot.

Apart from being the most streamed artiste, Davido also holds the highest number of views on YouTube.
