FAAN Blames CBN For Delayed Salary Payment To Staff
The management of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has attributed the delay in the payment of April salary to staffers of the organisation to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
An internal memo addressed to all staff members of the organisation dated 29th April 2022 signed by Arewa Olatokunbo on behalf of the Director, Human Resources and Administration was titled: “Subject: Delay in the Payment of April Salary 2022 Caused By Central Bank of Nigeria System Upgrades”.
The three-paragraph memo with reference number FAAN/DHRA/ADM/VOL-1/04 read in part: “Management wishes to let all staff know that the computation and uploading of salaries for payment was concluded in good time and the April 2022 salary was done in line with the implementation of consequential adjustment as approved for all agencies in Aviation by National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission (NSIWC).
” However, the delay in receiving alerts generally by staff (members) is due to the system upgrades embarked upon by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
“In view of the above, Management hereby appeals to all staff (members) to cooperate and exercise some patience, please”.
