FIFA World Cup Qualifiers: Bafana Bafana Coach Hugo Broos Confirms Friendlies With Algeria, Euro Side

SOUTH Africa head coach Hugo Broos has confirmed that his side will take on European side, Andorra and Algeria next month.

This comes after the Belgian tactician became the first coach to guide Bafana Bafana to the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) semi-finals in 24 years.

Bafana Bafana are set to take on Andorra who are ranked 164th globally on the 21st of next month in Annaba, and Algeria five days later at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Algiers.

“We go to Algeria in March, it is a very good team. I’m happy we are playing against Algeria, to get a different experience,” Broos said on SABC Sport.

“We’re preparing ourselves for important games in June, and we will certainly try to get good results.”

Bafana will be using the two matches as preparation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers which will take place in June this year.

Broos’ side is scheduled to face Nigeria away before hosting Zimbabwe a few days later.
