Help! My Father Has Been Sleeping With Me, Distraught Daughter Tells Court

FOR allegedly having sexual intercourse with his daughter, a man known simply as Alhaji Mashood, has been dragged before Magistrate Abdul Yekeen of the Upper Area Court in Kwara State.
His daughter alleged that her father had been sleeping with her for a considerable period.
Mashood resides in the Olorunsogo area of Bode Saadu, Moro Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The complainant (name withheld) alleged that Moshood had been having sexual intercourse with her, threatened to jail or kill her if she dared expose it to anybody.
The survivor told the court that it has become a regular habit of her father. She noted that she is his only daughter and that is why her mother has refused to return home after they divorced.
“My father’s second wife had once caught us in the act and made a joke of me alleging ritualistic activity.”
However, counsel to the defendant, Toyin Onaolapo, prayed the court to grant his client bail.
The trial magistrate, in his ruling, admitted the defendant to bail and adjourned the case to 15 April 2024.
