This comes after the pastor came under fire from Nigerians on social media, who berated him for riding in a bulletproof car while his aides were unprotected.

Apostle Johnson Suleman, the General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries (OFM), has responded to the controversy that has surrounded reports that he escaped an attack by gunmen in a bulletproof car.

Recall that the clergyman survived an assassination attempt in Auchi, Edo State, on Friday, 21 October.

His convoy was attacked at about 5:45 p.m. on 21 October on Warreke-Auchi Road in Edo North Senatorial District, leading to the killing of seven people—four policemen, one driver, and a lady. Fortunately for the clergyman, he and his family managed to escape unscathed.

Following the incident, the pastor came under fire from Nigerians on social media, who berated him for riding in a bulletproof car while his aides were unprotected.

Finally reacting amid the backlash, Apostle Suleman, speaking during a recent sermon in his church, said if he had the money, he would buy a bulletproof car for every member of his church.
