Ilaro-Yewa Agog As Oba Olugbenle Hosts Senate President, Gov Abiodun, Dangote, Adebutu, Rabiu, Others

Nigeria, Ogun – Ilaro, the political headquarters of Ogun West Senatorial District, is agog with preparations being made by the Olu of Ilaro and Paramount Ruler of Yewaland, Oba Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle, to host important dignitaries invited for the grand-finale and presentation of his autobiography on Saturday to round off activities marking the monarch’s 10th Coronation Anniversary.

The Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dr Dapo Abiodun, as confirmed by Prince Femi Dokunmu, in a statement on behalf of the Coronation Committee, is the Special Guest of honour at the ceremony which also has the Senate President, Ahmed Lawan as the Chairman, and the business mogul, Alhaji Aliko Dangote as Co-Chairman.

The Chairman of Premier Loto and Odole of Ile-Ife, Sir Kensington Adebutu and Chairman, BUA Group, Alhaji Abdu-samad Rabiu are Co-Launchers of the book, titled; “Double Grace, Kingship and Service”.

According to Dokunmu, major highlight of the grand-finale is the Conferment of Chieftaincy titles on some Yewa illustrious sons and daughters, which include former Ogun State Deputy Governor, Her Excellency, Alhaja Salimot Badru; Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola; Otunba Akeem Adigun; Alhaji Ibrahim Dende Egungbohun, Chief Dele Oderinde and Chief Tokunbo Akinsowon.

Presently, the Empire Field at the heart of the town is wearing a new look with a new event pavilion facilitated by Senator Adeola being made ready to host the Conferment of the Chieftaincy Titles; just as the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, venue of the reception and book presentation, turned to a beehive of activities.

Economic and commercial activities in the town in the last one week have also picked as commercial vehicles, food sellers, traders and artisans are making brisk businesses attending to event planners and guests, just as virtually all hotels and guest houses are fully booked.
