INEC Declares Labour Party’s Alex Otti As Abia Guber Winner
THE Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the Labour Party (LP) governorship candidate in last Saturday’s election in Abia State, Mr. Alex Otti, as the winner of the keenly contested exercise.
At the end of the resumed collation of results, Otti got a total of 172,386 votes to defeat his closest rival and candidate of the PDP who polled 8,8174.
The LP candidate was consequently declared the winner of the 2023 governorship election in the state.
The Returning Officer, Prof. Nnenna Oti, declared the LP candidate the winner at the headquarters of INEC in Umuahia, the state capital.
