PDP Sets Up Caretaker Committees In 19 States And FCT

THE Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) has raised caretaker committees for Rivers State and eighteen others.

Other states where caretaker committees were set up are Enugu, Taraba, Sokoto, Ondo, Ekiti, Benue and 12 other states. A committee was also set up in the FCT. 

The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba made this known in a statement saying the committee will run for three months starting this March. 

Mr Ologunagba said the PDP National Caucus will meet in Abuja on the 17th of April. He said the caretaker committees which were constituted by the National Working Committee would oversee the affairs of the party, at the ward, local government and state levels in the affected states

Meanwhile, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the PDP has announced the schedule for the 98th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting and the Board of Trustees (BoT) meeting.

The meetings are slated to take place on Thursday, 18 April 2024.

According to the statement by Hon. Ologunagba, on Friday in Abuja, the BoT meeting will commence at 10:00 am at the NEC Hall of the PDP National Secretariat.

This will be followed by the NEC meeting at 2:00 pm at the same venue.

Additionally, the meeting of the National Caucus of the party has been scheduled for Wednesday, 17 April  2024.

Ologunagba stated, “The BoT meeting will hold at the NEC Hall of the PDP National Secretariat at 10:00 am, after which the NEC meeting commences at 2:00 pm at the same venue.

“Consequently, the meeting of the National Caucus of our Party has been scheduled for Wednesday, April 17, 2024.

“The NWC urges all members of NEC, BoT and the National Caucus to please take note of the scheduled dates accordingly.”
