IN a move aimed at consolidating his hold on the state and his position as the helmsman, Rivers State governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara last night reshuffled the state cabinet amidst the political crisis rocking the state.
The governor, in a statement by the Secretary to the Rivers State Government, Dr Tammy Danagogo, redeployed the Commissioner for Justice and Attorney-General of the state, Prof. Zacchaeus Adangor to the Ministry of Special Duties (Governor’s Office).
Fubara also sent the Commissioner for Finance, Isaac Kamalu, to the Ministry of Employment Generation and Economic Empowerment.
The governor asked them to immediately hand over to their respective permanent secretaries.
He said: “They are to hand over to their respective permanent secretaries immediately as this deployment takes immediate effect. All handover processes must be completed immediately”.
