TWO of the known children of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Alhaja Folashade Tinubu-Ojo and Seyi have separately appealed to Nigerians to exercise more patience with the administration of their father in the wake of the economic hardship pervading the country, expressing confidence the former Lagos State governor would turn the situation around pretty soon.

Alhaja Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, the Iyaloja-General of Lagos State urged the populace to keep hope alive, noting that the economic downturn is a global phenomenon which is not limited to Nigeria.

My message to all Nigerians is to please exercise a little more patience. Everything will be alright; it’s just a matter of time. We need to keep our hope alive. There is an economic downturn all over the world, and not in Nigeria alone. But we pray Allah will see us through”, she enjoined on Tuesday.

Earlier, on Monday, Seyi urged Nigerians to endure the current hardship in the country, adding that the decisions taken by the president should have been made years ago.

“I wish today’s difficulties did not exist. But we must endure if we are to reach the good side of our future.”

In the same spirit, comedian, Oluwaseyitan Aletile (professionally known as Seyi Law) has hyped the need for Nigerians to be optimistic while stressing that he would still vote for President Bola Tinubu if a fresh election comes up tomorrow.

He likened the current economic hardship in Nigeria to the biblical wilderness experience of the Israelites, saying he would rather stay with “Moses through the wilderness to Canaan than eat meat and drink wine in slavery in Egypt at the expense of my children’s future”.

In a lengthy post shared via his X handle, recently, Seyilaw said “While a lot of Nigerians kill the optimism of others with hate and urge for immediate gratification, it is sad that our government agencies are not communicating government agendas, efforts, and actions effectively”.
