FORMER Minister of Aviation, Senator Stella Oduah, has opened up on her recent move from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Speaking at a meeting with the Igbo Business Community in Abuja at the weekend, Oduah assured Nigerians that the President Ahmed Bola Tinubu-led administration is steadily strengthening and repositioning the nation’s economy for sustainable stability and visible growth.

She also applauded President Tinubu for his manifest commitment towards the infrastructural development of the South East, as well as the recognition, acceptance and inclusion of the region in governance.

Senator Oduah commended Tinubu and the national leadership of the APC for appointing Imo State governor, Hope Uzodimma as the Coordinator of the party’s activities in the South-East region.

The former senator stated that she joined the APC recently because of Governor Uzodimma’s appointment, as well as his efforts in bringing federal presence and development to the region on the platform of the APC.

Emphasising that the Tinubu administration is not given to loud hypes, self-praise, and showboating, Oduah said that the achievements of the administration are non-speculative but real and verifiable.

Oduah described the policy trust of the administration as practical, methodical and strategically geared towards unlocking the nation’s productive potentials and reigniting creativity with huge employment opportunities in all spheres for innovative Nigerians, particularly the youths.

She stressed that with the steady implementation of the Renewed Hope Agenda and the embracing of its principles by Nigerians, the hardship being faced in the country would soon be a thing of the past.

President Tinubu is a listening leader and silent achiever. He is not given to propaganda, media hype, and showboating. He is focused on the mandate, and his achievements are non-speculative but real and verifiable.

“His policies are practical, methodical and strategically geared towards unlocking the productive potentials of the nation. With the steady implementation of the Renewed Hope Agenda and its acceptance by Nigerians, this administration is silently reigniting the ingenuity of Nigerians and creating massive job opportunities, especially for our youths in every sphere of the economy.

She commended Tinubu for keeping to his 30 percent affirmative action on youth inclusion in appointments and participation in governance in addition to approving the release of N60 billion for the benefit of the youths under the Agric Investment and Small and Medium Enterprises Scheme.

According to Oduah, such initiatives point to the President’s significant commitment towards unlocking and harnessing the potentials of the Nigerian youths and repositioning them for higher productivity, self-sufficiency and global competitiveness in all critical sectors.

She also applauded the president for his bold efforts in clearing the inherited $7 billion foreign exchange backlog, which she said has started reflecting in the strengthening of the Naira and overall recovery of the national economy.

On party activities, Senator Oduah stressed that the appointment of Governor Uzodimma has further endeared the South-East to the APC considering his popularity in the region due to his achievements in government, adding that with him as APC coordinator in the South-East, the party will further penetrate and take complete leadership of the region in the next round of elections.

The Anambra-born senator insisted that the Southeast has a lot to benefit from a government that values, promotes and supports creativity, quest for productivity and inclusiveness, saying that is why the region has embraced Tinubu and the APC.

She urged the members of the Igbo Business Community to remain united in support of President Tinubu, Governor Uzodimma, and the APC.
